Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to an interesting transfer report over the weekend as it’s claimed one January target would be open to joining the club.

According to Fanatik, Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi wants to make the move to Spurs this summer after the north Londoners previously were in for him.

The same source also claimed several weeks ago that the 26-year-old would only be sold if an offer of €25m (£22m) or better came in, but it remains to be seen if the current landscape in football changes that somewhat.

Spurs failed to land themselves a backup to Harry Kane in January and have been dealt with the consequences as the Englishman has been out through injury since New Year’s Day.

Since then, Jose Mourinho’s side have sunk seven points adrift from the top four and are out of all cup competitions.

But do the Spurs faithful want Muriqi as much as he would like the Premier League switch? Well, they are quite torn whilst many have made some comparisons.

كشفت صحيفة “ديلي إكسبريس” البريطانية عن موقف المدير الفني لنادي آرسنال، ميكل أرتيتا، النهائي تجاه مستقبل لاعب وسط الفريق الأول، محمد النني.

وأفادت الصحيفة الشهيرة أن هناك بعض اللاعبين الذين حدد أرتيتا مصيرهم مع آرسنال وعلى رأسهم النني الذي كانت هنالك احتمالات برحيله، مع وجود اهتمام من قبل نادي سامبدوريا لاستعارته وأيضًا بعض الأندية التركية مثل جالطة سراي وبشكتاش.

وتابعت  “إكسبريس” تقريرها وأكدت على أن أرتيتا قرر الإبقاء على محمد النني في الموسم الحالي، بعد أدائه المذهل في مباراة فولهام ومن قبلها أمام ليفربول في كأس الدرع الخيرية.

ما زال عقد النني مع آرسنال ساريًا حتى يونيو 2022، ولكن إذا جاء عرض مادي لا يمكن رفضه فمن الممكن أن يغري النادي الإنجليزي للتفكير في بيعه، لكن التركيز حاليًا على التخلص من لوكاس توريرا وماتيو جندوزي.

إلى جانب هذين اللاعبين، تشير الصحيفة إلى أن أرتيتا قرر بيع كالوم تشامبرز، سياد كولاسيناك، مسعود أوزيل وإيميل سميث رووي مع ألكسندر لاكازيت.

The Liverpool Echo’s Liverpool correspondent James Pearce has given his thoughts on a number of the Reds’ talented youth prospects, including Harry Wilson.

What he said

In a Q&A piece, Pearce was asked whether any of Liverpool’s talented youngsters are being considered by Jurgen Klopp as potential first team players for next season.

Pearce responded: “I really hope Wilson gets a chance to shine as I’ve been so impressed by him at Derby this season.”

Wilson is currently on loan from Anfield at Pride Park, where he is a regular feature in Frank Lampard’s starting XI.

A chance on the horizon?

Wilson has been in fine form so far this season. As per Transfermarkt’s stats, the 21-year-old attacking midfielder has racked up twelve goals and four assists in thirty appearances in all competitions.

His confidence and creativity have particularly caught the eye, whilst his ability to deliver set pieces has made him a key asset in the Rams’ armoury.

As impressive as the 8-cap Wales international has been so far this season, the step up from Championship level to thriving at Anfield is a huge one. However, a lack of quality attacking depth in Klopp’s squad could give Wilson an opportunity to prove his worth next season.

If Wilson does get an opportunity at Anfield, he will have to be at his best to take it. Though, Klopp’s record for bringing through exciting young players at the club, such as Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold, bodes well for Wilson.

واتفق يوفنتوس بحسب بيانه الرسمي على موقعه الإلكتروني بأن بياتسا سيلعب في صفوف جنوى لمدة موسم واحد فقط على سبيل الإعارة حتى يونيو 2021.

بياتسا انضم لنادي يوفنتوس قبل 4 سنوات، لكنه لم يشارك كثيرًا بسبب كثرة الإصابات وأصبح دائم الانتقال على سبيل الإعارة في العام الماضي.

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa should definitely consider giving teenager Ryan Edmondson a run in the first-team again after an inspired performance for the club’s u-23 side on Friday evening.

The young striker was the hero on the night after scoring a late winner in their Premier League Cup match against Notts County at Nethermoor Park.

Edmondson came on from the bench in the second-half an immediately boosted the club’s chances of breaking the deadlock after Notts made it 1-1 in the 57th minute.

For Bielsa, the performance by the 17-year-old Edmondson could be encouraging and might help the Whites earn promotion to the Premier League by the end of the season.

Despite a 2-1 win over Swansea City last week, Leeds have struggled since the start of the New Year and have slipped down to third in the Championship with Norwich City and Sheffield United above them.

But, Bielsa would certainly feel his side can return to the summit of the league table soon if they can get a string of good performances together and with a game in hand the club they should still be optimistic.

Edmondson, though, could play a key role in the club achieving that fate if he features in the first-team again.

He made two appearances from the bench earlier this season against QPR and Birmingham City and could provide good competition for the club’s current strikers Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford.

The Roofe and Bamford partnership has struggled to get going since Bielsa brought Bamford into the starting line-up a few weeks ago, which could be boosted if Edmondson gets called up to the squad.

Leeds host the struggling Bolton Wanderers at Elland Road this coming weekend and it could be the prime occasion for Bielsa to draft Edmondson back into the matchday squad and give him a run as a substitute.

The experience will also be highly beneficial to the development and grow his personal game. Indeed, it could be a good time for the manager to look to the younger players to see what they can offer to the team.

Everton may have secured an uncharacteristic 3-0 win over relegation candidates Cardiff on Tuesday, but it was not enough to distract fans from major underlying problems facing the club. And it is becoming increasingly evident that some of those ‘problems’ are players who want to leave.

From what started as a relatively positive period under Marco Silva has now turned into a nightmare for players and fans alike.

Sitting in 9th place with very little to play for other than the Merseyside derby, new and old players alike will be scratching their heads wondering where their futures lie at Everton Football Club.

So, who are these likely doubters?

Yerry Mina

Fans are probably wondering how Colombian defender Yerry Mina has managed to con his way into Barcelona and Everton, despite rarely performing for either side.

It is not uncommon to see the words ‘erratic’ and ‘Mina’ in the same sentence in the wake of some of his appearances.

And that is the next issue.

‘Absent’ is the best word to describe Mina, who has managed a dismal 695 minutes in the Premier League since making his £27.19m move from Spain in the summer (source: BBC Sport).

Whether he’s sincerely injured we have no idea, but it is worrying that we would even entertain the thought that the player was simply skiving his way through the season.

Ademola Lookman

Lookman was brought back from Red Bull Leipzig at the end of last season despite the German outfit expressing their interest in signing the player on a permanent basis (as per: Sky Sports).

Presumably on the promise that he would be played more, Lookman ultimately stayed at the Everton but has struggled to get meaningful minutes under his belt ever since.

Having tasted top-level football elsewhere there’s no doubt the youngster will be weighing up his options at the end of the season to help revive his career.

وتابع: “عندما ذهبت لرؤية الأمر شعرت على الفور بأن هناك شيئًا خاطئًا وأحضرت مندوب الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم وبالفعل المرمى كان أصغر بـ5 سم”.

وأتم: “طالبا بعد ذلك باستبعاد المرمى وحصلنا على آخر ذو أبعاد صحيحة”.

The pressure is piling on Liverpool now after dropping more vital points, this time against Everton, and the cracks are beginning to show. Outside of formulating excuses for his team’s poor performances, Klopp is desperately trying to reintroduce injured key members of the squad back into the fray – but is it a case of too much too soon for some?

According to BBC Sport, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is the latest player to return from a long-term injury to help boost Liverpool’s chances in the title race.

The midfielder has been missing since April 2018 due to a knee ligament injury sustained against Roma in the Champions League but is now in contention to feature in Liverpool’s few remaining games this season.

But we have to ask: is he ready?

There may be cause for excitement amongst Liverpool fans who are due to see one of their most dynamic midfield players make his comeback.

However, we are a little more reserved.

To be thrown into a fiercely competitive environment so soon after a major complication is always a danger. Not only for the player, who is more susceptible to further injury, but also to the club.

There is absolutely no guarantee that Oxlade-Chamberlain can return to the scintillating form shown before his untimely absence. And though Liverpool have been struggling in the midfield department, showing a distinct lack of quality at times, to throw the England international into the mix at this stage could spoil the proverbial broth.

Klopp cannot afford to be impulsive in this situation.

Liverpool have enough to cross the line with what they have got. It is on Klopp now to orchestrate proceedings appropriately and manage his injured players responsibility.

وجاءت المقابلة على النحو التالي:

يبدأ موسم جديد قبل شهر واحد فقط من الهزيمة 2-8 ضد بايرن ميونيخ هل ما زال الحداد مستمرا؟

“داخليًا، نعم من الصعب نسيان هذه النتيجة، لكن الآن بعد أن بدأنا المنافسة، سيكون الأمر شيئًا من الماضي، ومع ذلك، يجب ألا ننسى ذلك تمامًا، لأنه بالتأكيد سيجعلنا أقوى خلال هذا الموسم”.

ماذا حدث في لشبونة؟ كيف تشرح الأمر الآن بعد شهر ونصف.. لماذا سارت الأمور على نحو خاطئ؟

بعد 2-8 كيف كان الشعور في غرفة خلع الملابس؟ هل كانت هناك كلمات عزاء؟

“كان لديّ اختبار الكشف عن المنشطات وعندما انتهيت لم يكن هناك أحد في غرفة خلع الملابس، لكن مما قيل لي، لم يقل أحد شيئًا صمت تام، لقد دُمرنا جميعًا، ثم التقيت في الفندق بأصدقائي ونفس الشيء، الصمت، لم نكن نعرف أين نضع أنفسنا، لكن مهلاً، يبدأ الآن موسمًا جديدًا يتعين علينا فيه إثبات أننا تعلمنا مما حدث في لشبونة”.

قال بيكيه في ذلك اليوم إنه سيغادر إذا لزم الأمر هل كنت قد عبرت عن نفس الشيء؟

“في ذلك الوقت كنا نعتقد ذلك جميعًا خاصةً أولئك الذين قضوا وقتًا طويلاً هنا، وأن ما نريده هو الأفضل لبرشلونة، وأن يعود النادي إلى حيث يستحق، وإذا كانت هناك حاجة إلى تغييرات، فابدأ”.

بعد تلك المباراة بدأت تظهر أسماء الضحايا المحتملين هل كنت خائفا من أن تكون على القائمة السوداء؟

“لا أحد يستطيع أن يكون هادئًا إلى جانب ذلك، فترة الانتقالات أقصر من المعتاد وهناك حركة أقل، كنت سأفهم إذا قالوا لي إنهم لا يعتمدون علي، لكن منذ اللحظة الأولى أكدوا ثقتهم بي، أنا أتطلع حقًا لبدء الموسم الجديد”.

لماذا تعتقد أن برشلونة يواصل الوثوق بسيرجي روبرتو؟

“ليس سؤالاً يوجه لي [يضحك]، ما يمكنني قوله هو أنه على الرغم من تواجدي في هزائم روما وليفربول وبايرن ميونخ، إلا أنني أبذل قصارى جهدي في التدريبات والمباريات وأبحث دائمًا عن الأفضل للفريق”.

أشاد ساندرو فاجنر، مهاجم بايرن ميونخ السابق، بروبيرت ليفاندوفسكي، نجم الفريق البافاري.

وقال فاجنر، في تصريحات لشبكة “DAZN”: “بالنسبة لي، فإن ليفاندوفسكي هو بالتأكيد أحد أفضل اثنين أو ثلاثة مهاجمين في العالم بالوقت الحالي”.
