The Gunners are going in search of a first Premier League title since 2004, while they are without a major trophy of any kind since 2020.
Arsenal have come ever so close to winning the Premier League over the last few years, finishing as runners-up in three successive seasons. Mikel Arteta's side will be hoping to go one step further in 2025-26.
The Gunners will begin their search for a first title in 22 years with a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on the opening weekend of the campaign, with their first home match coming a week later against newly-promoted Leeds. However, a tricky start will also see Arteta's men travel to Liverpool and Newcastle during the first six rounds of fixtures.
The first north London derby of the season will take place in late November, with Tottenham under new head coach Thomas Frank. The reverse fixture will take place in February.
Arsenal will wrap up the season away at Crystal Palace on May 24, where they will be hoping to be crowned as the new champions of England.

Tuchel will name his England squad on Friday for next month's World Cup qualifier against Andorra. There is then a friendly against Senegal.
Chris Wilder will hope Sheffield United’s well-known spending habits across the last few transfer windows end up paying off instead of looking like a rash waste of cash.
Amazingly – since being relegated back down to the Championship – the Blades have purchased a ridiculous 18 new players in a bid to rebuild and go again, with the considerable churn seeing them pick up seven fresh faces in the window that has just slammed shut.
The busy winter window did see them only fork out for some permanent purchase, however, but it was a costly one at that, with former Leicester City man Tom Cannon joining the ever-expanding group for a whopping £10m.
Sheffield United's statement buy of Cannon
The promotion chasers clearly wanted to send out a statement to the rest of the division that they won’t be easily toppled in the ongoing race for the top two spots, with Cannon also a wanted figure by fellow Premier League hopefuls in Sunderland.
In the end, Cannon would choose South Yorkshire over the Stadium of Light, with the Blades confident that the 22-year-old poacher can fire in the goals to make an instant return to the top flight happen.
After all, when on the books of Stoke City earlier in the season as an on-fire loanee, Cannon would help himself to a mightily impressive 11 strikes from 25 games.
Therefore, parent employers Leicester would have been compelled to bump up his price tag to cash in on his red-hot form, as the Blades then coughed up a hefty £10m to land the Championship’s flavour of the month.
He hasn’t opened his goalscoring account yet for his new employers, but everyone at the club will hope the goals start flowing soon, considering he is only two games down in his fresh surroundings.
Whilst Cannon has stolen most of the United headlines in recent weeks, there are stars already at Bramall Lane worth more than the 22-year-old hotshot, with this one ace definitely a firm favourite of Wilder’s.
The Sheffield United "leader" who's worth more than Cannon
Joining the top-flight ranks last season as a surprise buy from Belgian outfit Lommel S.K., Vinicius Souza has slowly but surely become an integral part of the Blades machine since his arrival in England.
Market Movers
Whilst his lowly team did eventually accept their grim relegation fate last campaign, the Brazilian would still stick out as a valiant battler in the middle of the park.
Indeed, the Rio De Janeiro-born star won a punchy 6. duels on average that season to try and gift his side some desperately needed grit.
Wilder has regularly waxed lyrical about the 25-year-old off the back of these constantly committed displays, with the 57-year-old notably stating in November last year that Souza was a “real leader” and an “outstanding” individual to have around the place.
He has excelled in the drop-down a division too, with the occasional Blades captain’s average duels won count increasing to 6.8 in the often full-blooded Championship, leading to his transfer value also going up.

Year on year, ever since emerging onto the scene at Lommel, Souza has seen his valuation steadily increase, with his price tag coming in now at £11.6m – according to Transfermarkt – which actually makes him an even more prized asset than the £10m Cannon.
Reports before the new second-tier season started even suggested that Wilder’s men wanted Fulham to fork out £30m to win his services, with Marco Silva’s Cottagers perhaps trying to exploit the Blades’ fragile nature after relegation.
But, Wilder and Co managed to thankfully keep a firm grip on their star, with the 25-year-old no doubt keen to continue to put in some top displays, alongside the wave of new signings, to help his defiant side leap straight back up to the Premier League.
After Holding's arrival: Wilder could axe "excellent" Sheffield United ace
Chris Wilder could now drop this Sheffield United star to start this new purchase.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot may have shown interest in several players, but despite the fact his side are still in contention to claim an unprecedented quadruple, the Anfield side didn’t make a single signing in January.
One player who has been linked with a move to Merseyside since last summer is Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi.
The Reds failed to get their man six months ago and they failed to bring him to the Premier League during the winter window.
Liverpool's failure to sign Martin Zubimendi
Manchester City and Arsenal were also keen on a deal to sign the Real Sociedad star, but he wasn’t going to be sold for cheap.
Indeed, the La Liga side inserted a £50m release clause into his contract to deter potential suitors, but there is no doubt he will leave San Sebastián sooner rather than later.

Slot could very well return with an offer when the summer transfer window opens, but with stiff competition from Arsenal, perhaps moving on to other targets would be a wise idea.
Indeed, it’s thought that any dreams the Reds had of landing the Spaniard are likely to fall flat with reports emerging earlier in the window that the Gunners were closing in on a summer move having agreed personal terms with the player.
Liverpool already have their own Zubimendi
Despite Zubimendi’s lavish £50m release clause, the Dutchman has a player in his current Liverpool side who is worth even more than the Real Sociedad midfielder; Ryan Gravenberch.
The teenage prodigy made his name at Ajax, featuring over 100 times for the Eredivisie side between 2019 and 2022. These performances and limitless potential naturally garnered interest in the youngster, and it was Bayern Munich who won the race for his signature.
A fee of £16m, on the surface anyway, looked like it could be a smart piece of transfer business by the Bavarian giants, yet his spell in Munich didn’t go entirely to plan.
The 22-year-old played only 34 times for the club before the Reds rescued him in the summer of 2023. Jürgen Klopp paid £34.2m for the Dutchman, who has sparkled at Anfield, especially this season.
Market Movers
Football FanCast's Market Movers series explores the changing landscape of the modern transfer market. How much is your club's star player or biggest flop worth today?
Former Liverpool icon Steve Nicol praised the young midfielder, who has been a man reborn since Slot arrived, saying:
“He’s been sensational. The amount of times that he breaks up the play because of his starting position and his decision-making, when to step in and win the ball and when to sit back and wait, has really surprised me.”
Compared to his positional peers, Gravenberch ranks in the top 10% for pass completion percentage in the top flight, while also ranking in the top 3% for interceptions and 12% for successful take-ons per 90, further evidence of how good he has been under his compatriot.
Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch
These performances have seen his valuation soar recently. Indeed, according to Football Transfers, the former Ajax starlet is now worth upwards of £55m.
This figure means Gravenberch is worth even more than Zubimendi, proving that the Anfield side hit the jackpot on the 18-cap Netherlands international.

Daryl Mitchell, meanwhile, is hopeful of recovering from his finger fracture in time for New Zealand’s T20 World Cup opener

A minor abdominal injury to fast bowler Lockie Ferguson has depleted New Zealand further in the ongoing T20I tri-series, involving Pakistan and Bangladesh. The hosts are already without allrounders Daryl Mitchell, who has been sidelined from the entire tri-series with a fractured finger, and Mitchell Santner, who will join the squad on Sunday after his paternity break.Given Ferguson’s history of injuries – he had also been ruled out of last year’s T20 World Cup with a calf tear – New Zealand will have to manage him carefully in the lead-up to this year’s T20 World Cup. Head coach Gary Stead has said that there’s a chance that Ferguson too might miss the entire tri-series.Related
Mitchell in doubt for T20 World Cup with fractured finger
Ferguson ruled out of 2021 T20 World Cup with calf tear
“Lockie has a little ab injury at the moment. We’re just managing just that and the most important thing is we get to the start of the World Cup and Lockie is ready to go,” Stead said. “He’s a very, very important cog in our bowling line-up. Unfortunately for him, he missed last year’s World Cup with the injury he had then. I mean we are mindful of it and we want to make sure that he’s right and ready for those early games in the World Cup.”There is that chance [of him missing the entire tri-series]. We will just see how he responds to treatment over the next few days.”New Zealand’s other priority is to get Adam Milne fully fit ahead of the global tournament. Milne, who is also injury-prone, is working his way back from a persistent Achilles injury that forced him to miss the Hundred earlier this year. His last competitive game was in March when he made his IPL debut for Chennai Super Kings. On Saturday, New Zealand picked Blair Tickner ahead of Milne.”It’s the first time I’ve had eyes live on Milne at the nets and he looked really good,” Stead said. “We’re pleased with what we are seeing there and again he is coming off a reasonably extensive injury break as well, so just managing him and making sure he’s right will be the most important thing for us in these four games.”Daryl Mitchell’s presence would lend balance to New Zealand’s XI•Getty Images
Mitchell hopes to be fit for T20 World Cup Mitchell, who was hit on the little finger of his right hand while batting in the nets on Friday, is hopeful of recovering in time for New Zealand’s World Cup opener against Australia at the SCG on October 22.”Obviously, not ideal timing but we’ve got some good news around where the fracture is in the hand and the time frame to be ready for the first game in Australia in a couple of weeks’ time,” Mitchell told Spark Sport on the sidelines of New Zealand’s tri-series opener against Pakistan on Saturday. “We’ll do everything we can to try and be ready and fingers crossed that I’ll be good to go.Dane Cleaver, Kane Williamson’s cousin, who had hit 83 against India A in a one-dayer in Chennai last month, has been named as Mitchell’s replacement for the tri-series. Cleaver will also be the back-up wicketkeeper to Conway although Finn Allen has also occasionally done the job for his domestic side Wellington Firebirds.

Glasgow Rangers have signed several players from England over the previous few years to varying degrees of success.
The likes of Juninho Bacuna, Kieran Dowell and George Edmundsson failed to light up Ibrox following moves to Scotland.
Elsewhere, Joe Aribo, Leon Balogun and Jack Butland have shone during their respective spells at the Light Blues. One name that stands out – despite his acrimonious ending to his spell at Rangers – is Todd Cantwell.
The Englishman on his day looked like one of the best players in the Premiership, no doubt about that.
Todd Cantwell’s statistics at Rangers
Michael Beale didn’t get much right during his ten-month stint in charge of the Gers, but signing Cantwell and Nico Raskin in January 2023 was one success story.
The former Norwich City starlet took to Scottish football with ease, scoring six goals and grabbing five assists for the club during his first few months.
Rangers midfielder Todd Cantwell.
The following season, 15 goal contributions were registered as the Light Blues won the League Cup, but it was clear that Philippe Clement wasn’t too keen on Cantwell.
The Englishman did create seven big chances while averaging 1.7 key passes per game in the top flight last term, but he was sold to Blackburn Rovers last summer.
Judging by his statistics, Cantwell was a decent signing and could still have contributed to the team this term if he wasn’t sold.

There are plenty of players from the EFL who have a lot to offer and recently, the Gers have been linked with a current Watford defender.
Considering the injury crisis in defence, it is clear that the Belgian manager will be keen to add reinforcements to this area of the pitch.
Rangers could repeat Cantwell masterclass
It was reported at the start of the month that the Light Blues had made a bid for Watford centre-back Ryan Porteous as they look to make a signing.
The Scot is well known to the Ibrox faithful, especially for his often provocative actions when playing against the club during his spell at Hibs.
Ryan Porteous
There is no doubting the defender is talented, however, but things haven’t worked out this term in the Championship for him. Indeed, the 6 foot 2 titan has started only 17 games for Watford.
Despite this, he has still won 57% of his total duels contested per game in the second tier, along with succeeding with 85% of his passes and making 1.7 tackles per game.
Having made over 150 appearances for Hibs during his spell in Edinburgh, Porteous is well accustomed to the physicality of Scottish football, which could make him a solid signing for the Gers.
John Hughes hailed the defender as being a “full-blooded type of player” back in 2022 and this type of centre-back is exactly what Rangers and Clement need.
Much will depend on how much money the manager has to spend, but if Watford demands a reasonable price for the 25-year-old, then a concrete offer should be made.
Transfer Focus
Mega money deals, controversial moves and big-name flops. This is the home of transfer news and opinion across Football FanCast.
Having seen the benefits in snapping up Cantwell from England’s second tier during a January window, the Gers could repeat that trick by moving for Porteous this month.
Rangers in advanced talks to sign an "extremely talented" Barron upgrade
Rangers are seeking reinforcements this January transfer window, reportedly in “advanced talks” to sign one of the Premiership’s best midfielders.
